FAQ

  • How long do you play for?

    3 hours is standard. Please be aware that venues with noise restrictions may impact this.

  • How much space do you need?

    4m x 5m is cozy but doable; slightly more is preferred.

  • Do you travel outside of Nelson/Tasman?

    Yes – travel and accomodation costs are calculated and added into the quote where possible.

  • Can you play our first dance song?

    We’d love to! Most songs can be arranged to suit our lineup. We won’t be offended if you’d prefer to play the song on Spotify though.

  • Can we use your sound system for speeches?

    We prefer to keep our system separate. We can recommend some good hire companies.

  • When do you set up?

    Almost always on the day of the event; in the morning if possible. We all have other work commitments so Friday events will usually attract an afternoon set up.

  • Can we pick and choose songs?

    We ‘read the room’ and will aim to choose songs as we go, based on what’s happening in the moment. That being said, we are happy to be guided by your musical tastes. Please let us know if you have a special song or two and we will endeavour to learn them. Also note that the songlist on this website is not exhaustive but gives a good idea of what we tend to play.

  • What are your technical requirements?

    We just need a powerpoint located in the position you would like us to set up. Grid power is preferable but some generators are safe to run sound equipment (please check with us).

  • How do we 'lock' you in?

    After receiving your quote, you can confirm the booking with a 20% deposit. The remainder can be paid anytime before—but no later than—the day of the event.
